Rescue Mission

Once each month, a representative from Community Baptist Church, has the privilege to preach at the Greenville Rescue Mission. This is an opportunity to help the men who are staying at the mission understand how Jesus Christ has revealed God’s love for them. It also affords opportunity to help ground them in Bible teaching and encourage them toward victory over sin. Once each year, around Christmas, the CBC Choir presents a musical program that is always a favorite service for the men.

Nursing Home

Community Baptist Church seeks to minister God's grace to those in need of special medical attention. The youth group, college class, and many others minister at several area nursing homes. From formal services to one on one fellowship, this ministry is as benefitial to the giver as it is to the recipient. In a day when our culture gives little time to the wisdom that comes with age, Community Baptist Church seeks to honor the principle of Leviticus 19:32--"You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD."

Jail Ministry

Each week men and women from Community Baptist Church visit the inmates of the Greenville County Detention Center. They hold evangelistic Bible studies and disciple those who have come to know Christ as their Savior.

Shepherd's Gate

Once a month a group of ladies minister to women who find themselves homeless because of various reasons. A Bible lesson is shared, hymns are sung and prayers are offered to the Lord. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
